Collection: Maati : The Dabu Collection

Where earth meets craft and tradition finds its place in the modern wardrobe.
A traditional mud-resist printing craft deeply rooted in Rajasthan, Dabu is created by applying a specially prepared mud-resist paste onto fabric using hand-carved wooden blocks. The fabric then undergoes a careful process of dyeing, washing and sun-drying, gradually revealing the intricate patterns beneath.
The mud resist protects selected areas of the fabric from absorbing the dye, creating the distinctive contrasts, depth and organic character that make Dabu prints so recognisable.
Our Dabu sarees draw their palette from the earth : rich rusts, deep reds, warm ochres, mustard yellows, earthy browns and natural greens paired with motifs that carry the quiet charm of traditional Indian textiles.
