Neela — the Hindi word for blue. Our indigo collection is rooted in one of the oldest dyeing traditions in Rajasthan, where natural indigo vats have been tended for generations.

The Craft

Every Neela saree begins with dabu — a mud-resist printing technique where artisans hand-apply a paste of clay, gum, and wheat flour onto fabric before dyeing. The paste resists the indigo, revealing intricate patterns when washed away. Each piece is dipped into natural indigo vats multiple times, sun-dried between baths, to build depth of colour.

Care
